When you visit Affordable Art Fair New York Fall you’ll find an inspiring and friendly atmosphere where you can browse thousands of original contemporary paintings, sculptures, photographs and prints showcased by a myriad of local, national and international exhibitors. With contemporary artwork by over 400 established artists and rising stars, and price points ranging from $100 to $12,000 – there is something to suit every taste and wallet whether you are a first-time art buyer or a seasoned collector.

👓 The Warby Parker Book Fair (FREE) at Warby Parker

To engage with the local community, Warby Parker is hosting a book fair at our NYC stores in partnership with New York-based book seller, McNally Jackson. 20% of proceeds will be donated to Pupils Project to emphasize their commitment to giving back to our community.
Donate used books, and spin for free stationery prizes (plus free candy from Lil Sweet Treat).

🍂 Collage Club: Autumn Equinox Vision Boarding ($35) at RecCreate Collective

Collage Club at RecCreate is a therapeutic two hours of cutting and pasting, letting your creativity flow while crafting the coolest found art piece.

TUESDAY (9/23)
🖼️ Artist in Residence Gallery Opening (FREE) by Welcome to Chinatown

For the past two years, Poster House and Welcome to Chinatown have partnered on an Artist in Residence program supporting community-centered artists from the Asian diaspora in NYC 🎨✨. Each year culminated in a city-wide poster campaign celebrating cultural identity and public storytelling. While the 2025 edition was paused due to funding cuts, both organizations remain committed to amplifying the voices and incredible talents of this year’s finalists 🌸

📮 All You Can Linocut: Eraser Stamps ($25) by Mojo Studio

Add your own personal flair to your journal or gifts with your very own eraser stamps! Go home with as many eraser stamps as you can make in this workshop. I will provide card stock for you to print your designs onto.
At the very end, we'll stamp our collections into a collective class print!

🐕 After Hours Pastel Painting Workshop ($54.75) at AKC Museum of the Dog

Join us for an autumn-inspired fused glass workshop where you’ll create a one-of-a-kind plate or a cozy night light! ✏️ Clay Date: Dry Erase Boards ($135) at Drawing Room

Create a place to write grocery lists, a letter for your future self, to-do’s, or even a little love note! You will build and design your very own ceramic dry erase boards for you to hang in your home, office, or wherever you need reminders. Once glazed and finished, all pieces will come with a little wipe off marker so you can write and rewrite notes as often as you’d like!
A little dry erase marker is included!

📍 Tove Jansson and The Moomins: The Door is Always Open (FREE)

Brooklyn Public Library
Calling all lovers of Moominvalley: Brooklyn Public Library’s free exhibit showcasing the work of Finnish artist Tove Jansson will be closing at the end of the month! Even if you’re not familiar with the characters from Jansson’s famous children’s books, this exhibit will give you all you need to know to fall in love with them—as well as insight into Jansson’s life and creative process.
Filled with Moomin memorabilia from around the world, personal letters to and from Jansson, and a charming installation that lets you walk into the world of Moomin and his friends Snufkin, Little My, and Sniff, this is a great experience for all ages. Don’t forget to head up to the second floor of the library to view everything on display!
