create a beautiful, hand-tied bouquet! in this workshop, students will learn the fundamental skill of building a hand-tie bouquet. starting with selecting complementary blooms and foliage to mastering the spiral technique for a balanced, organic arrangement.
experienced williamsburg-based floral designer, ivan gilkes will guide students through color theory, flower care, and composition to create a bouquet that feels both effortless and intentional.

Want to make magical potion bottles? Learn all the necessary techniques to make a functional bottle to hold all your magical potions in! These will be totally food safe once glazed so they can hold everything from flowers, to tea, to mysterious elixirs and tonics. Add textures, embellishments, and personalized details to make your bottles special. All materials and clay provided! Instruction by Ayaka.

Join us for print club, postcard edition! We'll explore the world of block printing, crafting one of a kind lino blocks for endless usage on paper or fabric— leaving with a set of postcards to mail to your long distance bff or grandma that double as art pieces :)
We'll cover the basics of lino carving and printing before bumping the tunes and letting your creativity run wild. It will be the perfect screen free evening of hands on making in community!
All carving tools & paper printing materials are included, you will leave with your lino block (to print with forever!) + a set of postcards.

Ever wondered how your favorite book on your bookshelf was made? Learn for yourself in this version of Bookmaking where we’ll learn the Signature Stitch technique and create our own handmade book using a variety of different papers for your drawing, painting, writing, or scrapbooking needs! We’ll be learning about the different tools available to us and their purposes as we cut, sew, tie, and glue our books together with step by step instruction.
Afterwards we’ll supply drawing and collage materials for you to decorate your book as you please, as well as a fun photo sticker printer to really customize your book and make it look as special as it is.

Land to Sea is excited to present Closing Shift a series of intimate live music performances from behind the bar by local independent and emerging AANHPI artists.
Closing Shift will take over the bar at Land to Sea every Thursday night in May starting May 8th. Each show will feature a curated lineup of 3-4 artists.
Select drinks from our wine and N/A beverage menu will be for sale throughout the event. This is an all ages even. IDs will be checked if you are purchasing an alcoholic beverage.

We recently stumbled upon this new glass studio just outside of the city! A short walk from the Queens Botanical Garden and nearby dozens of adorable cafes, Glass Wonderland offers a variety of DIY glass projects in studio, as well as group reservations to get creative with friends. ⭐️ 🎀
They offer DIY fused and stained glass projects, as well as paint-your-own pottery and make-your-own scented candles!
You can make suncatchers, plates, bowls, night lights, and even glass jewelry! All their glass products and paint are food and dishwasher safe.
No experience is needed and no appointments are necessary—although if you’re going with a big group, we do recommend making a reservation. This ensures they have enough space and time to accommodate you!
Food is allowed inside the studio, so feel free to grab a cute dessert or boba from a nearby store in Downtown Flushing.
On weekdays, there’s a 15% discount!
Our tip: take the LIRR from Grand Central to Flushing and get there in only 20 minutes!
